The Mississippi Republican Party is offering a full- and part-time internship program (for Spring, Summer, and Fall) to dedicated and energetic students. The program will provide undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to experience state party operations at close-range, with internship options in the Political/Communications division and in the Events/Fundraising division.

All participants will have the opportunity to take part in a weekly lecture series by Republican Party and State Elected officials. College credit may be obtained, when complying with the requirements of the academic institution. Letters of recommendation may be available upon completion of the program.

Political/Communications Division interns will be directly involved in the election of the next President of the United States. They will achieve campaign experience on a state and local level, and will attain practical knowledge of targeting, polling, and campaign strategy. These interns will also assist in executing the Mississippi Republican Party's media strategy through press releases and media events.

Events/Fundraising Division interns will be involved with fundraising activities and the organization of the Mississippi Republican Party's 2008 State Convention, along with Mississippi's preparation for the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Application Deadlines

Applications for spring and fall are accepted on a rolling basis and there is no official deadline. Space is limited for the summer internship program. The deadline for submitting application materials for the summer program is April 15, 2008.
