Taxes
We support the overall reduction of the tax burden on our citizens. Most "tax cuts" in recent years have been tax shifts; the overall burden on the people has not been reduced and government has grown fat on years of successive budget surpluses. We believe that our tax burden is too high, including at the state level. We also believe that the only way ever to slow the growth of government at all levels is to slow the flow of money to government ... and that means real tax cuts.

We support eliminating the super-majority requirement to reduce taxes, so that reducing taxes requires a simple majority vote in both houses of the Legislature, rather than the three fifths vote now required.
