In 2012 Mississippi will conduct federal elections including all four House seats, one Senate seat and the presidential election. For information on absentee voting, voter registration forms, and a polling place locator, please visit the Secretary of State’s website.
Here is a calendar of important dates in 2012:
January 2- Qualifying period begins for federal offices
January 13- Qualifying deadline for federal offices
February 11- Voter registration deadline for those who wish to participate in the primary election
March 13- Primary election
April 3- Primary election run-off (if necessary)
October 6- Voter registration deadline for those who wish to participate in the general election
November 6- General election
