Health Care

Mississippi Republicans believe the private sector can best provide quality, affordable, portable health care.  Technology, innovation, a fair legal climate, and competition will increase access at reasonable costs. Individual responsibility and preventative measures including healthy lifestyles will reduce the strain on the health care industry, the costs to individuals, and the funding burden on government. We must keep our promises to our veterans. To protect Medicaid for the truly needy, we oppose efforts to repeal anti-fraud measures like requiring Medicaid beneficiaries to confirm their eligibility once a year in person.
