The Mississippi Republican Party supports efforts to create a positive job investment environment: an educated and technically trained workforce, a fair and balanced civil tort climate, adequate transportation and infrastructure, affordable and available energy, and a government free of undue regulation or unwise taxes. In the global marketplace, Mississippi Republicans support “in-sourcing” high-paying foreign jobs to Mississippi communities for American workers. We also support economic development incentive programs to create, promote, and expand the enterprises of local businessmen and women – both large and small businesses. We encourage new job clusters: automotive, biomedical research, technology/communication, defense sector, energy development, and aerospace.


In developing new industries in our state, we must maintain focus on the importance of a healthy and vibrant farm economy. Mississippi agribusiness can provide valuable food products as well as alternative fuel sources. 


The Mississippi Republican Party is dedicated to freedom of choice for all working people. We strongly support the Right to Work law and oppose unnecessary bureaucratic regulations such as the creation of a state Department of Labor.
