MSGOP RESPONDS TO DEMOCRAT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S CRITICISM OF CONSERVATIVE DEMOCRATS

Jackson, Miss – Mississippi Republican Party Chairman Brad White released the following statement today:

 

“I was recently made aware of statements by Sam Hall, the new Mississippi Democratic Party Executive Director, which were critical of House Democrats who did not support Rep. Billy McCoy’s bid for Speaker of the House. In an entry on his ‘progressive’ political blog, Mr. Hall seems to suggest these members are not ‘true Democrats.’

 

“As Chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party, I can assure Mr. Hall that while the members in question are not currently Republicans, they have an open invitation to join our Party if they feel their conservative values no longer have a place among the Mississippi Democratic leadership. Mr. Hall’s comments are clearly an example of the Party leaving the person. If these Democrats want to support conservative policies and conservative leadership, they will find a welcome home in the Republican Party.”
